I’ll be honest, this is one of those pieces I ordered thinking, “This could be really cute… or it could be a weird, shapeless beach thing.” Thankfully, it landed solidly in the really cute category, with a few tall-girl-specific notes worth mentioning.
This crochet cover-up is simple, lightweight, and exactly the kind of thing you throw on without overthinking, which is precisely what I want from a beach or pool piece.

First Impressions:
The pattern is beautiful. It’s a classic crochet knit with enough detail to feel intentional, not costume-y or cheap. It’s airy, breathable, and covers just enough to feel comfortable walking from pool to chair or beach to boardwalk without feeling exposed.
It immediately feels like a warm-weather staple, easy, relaxed, and unfussy.
Fit & Sizing (Tall Girl Notes):
I ordered a medium, and while it technically fits, I probably should have gone with a small.
This cover-up wants to be more form-skimming than it is on me. Because I sized up (ordered my normal size…which is a little big for this top), it reads a little more drapey and relaxed than fitted. It’s not unflattering, just looser than intended or that I prefer.
For reference, I’m 5’10”, around 155 lbs, with a long torso and long arms. Length-wise, this is great. If you’re tall and worried about it being too short, I don’t think that will be an issue at all. It hits comfortably and covers what it should.
I normally wear a medium, but in this case, sizing down would likely give a more flattering, streamlined look, especially if you want it to skim your body instead of hang loosely.
The Neckline Detail:
This is a small thing, but if you’re detail-oriented like me, you might notice it.
The neckline on mine looks slightly different than some of the product photos. The small crochet circle detail at the top center of the chest appears thinner and a bit more delicate than what’s shown online. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to unravel, but it does look more fragile than expected.
Not a deal-breaker, just something I noticed and wanted to mention for accuracy.

Color: Beige… or Peach?:
I ordered this in beige, and depending on the lighting, it seems to shift…or maybe Im crazy.
In some light, it looks clearly light beige. In other light, it leans more peachy. When I first pulled it out, it read beige. Then I held it up and thought, “Wait… is this peach?”
That said, it’s a very pretty color either way, just not a stark, cool-toned beige. Think warm neutral with a soft peach undertone.
Overall Thoughts:
This is a really nice, easy cover-up. It’s lightweight, breathable, and perfect for beach days, pool lounging, or resort wear. It’s not meant to be structured or tailored, it’s meant to be thrown on and lived in.
At under $25, I think it’s a solid buy. Would I pay luxury prices for it? No. Would I grab it in the right size at this price point? Yes, especially if I needed a simple, versatile cover-up for summer.
If you’re tall:
*Length is not an issue
*Consider sizing down for a better fit
*Expect a relaxed, drapey look rather than a fitted one
